can i just say one thing...

Jill La Fleur. The woman is amazing and the nicest person I believe I have ever met. Josh & I love working with her...well because... see below. Everything she touches is always perfect!

We also love working with at least two, if not three photographers. The reason I say this is because the first few images you will see on this post are three versions of the same moment taking place. Josh is the full length, Michelle's is the close up and Blake (B2) is the 3/4 black and white. I just thought that it was amazing that the same moment had three very different emotional points of view.

Now on to the most fun and loving couple! Lorraine & Ray captured our hearts the moment we laid eyes on them. They literally had smiles plastered on their faces all day (unless we told them not too)!! This wedding was a true success in every way due to the amazing location and vendors. A November Baby!

It's official. I am a future dad. Michelle is a future mom. This is a photo of our future baby boy. WOW!!!!!!!!!! He's coming in late November, just in time for our slow season. Michelle is glowing, feeling great, doing yoga like crazy, and so excited to be a mom! I am feeling excited, nervous, and can't wait to meet our little guy!More updates as we grow!

Valerie + Nick... oh where do I begin!

For starters these two people were meant to be our friends! After our first meeting and leading all the way up to their wedding we kept running into them! They are both almost doctors and two of the kindest people you will ever meet!

Valerie + Nick's wedding took place first, in Pasadena at Holy Family Church and then all the way over in Malibu for the reception. This gorgeous reception was put together by the amazing Kathy Recchia from Save the Date Events! Valerie had wanted mono-chromatic red, and I do believe she got it!

The little red Austin Healey belongs to Nick's father and was perfectly painted just for this very special occasion!

What an amazing day we had with this couple and a big thanks to B1 & B2 for all of your hard work!

baby mason magnus

This is baby Mason! He was born to the best parents ever, Peter + Kaye on June 15th at 4:00 a.m. Josh + I were the first to hold him and peer at him very closely through our lenses! He was less than 8 hours old and survived his first photo shoot. Mason has a very long life of many many pictures ahead of him as his dad is the ever amazing Peter Lars from Cornerstone Photography in Moorpark! Congratulations to our two friends! We love you so much and are thrilled to be sharing this very special time with you! We love you!

Jennifer + Mark were married at The Bel Air Bay Club and with the help of our dear friends Kathy + Susan from Bella Weddings and Events had themselves one beautiful party! Jonny, Alexa & Bryce (B1) photographed this one for Mi Belle and they had THE best time with these two! Congrats it looks like an amazing day!

Courtney waited 7 years, yes SEVEN, for her dream day. Bel Air Bay Club is magnificent and the only thing that made it any better was Courtney and Mark's amazing day. I think everybody felt the love for these two. I know I did! ~jb~

Jennifer & Peter had the most beautiful wedding at the amazing Ritz in Laguna! Thank you to Jenn Rau and Alexa Dunk who photographed this one for Mi Belle, and especially to Alexa for being what Jennifer (the bride) described as the "kid whisperer"!

Valerie + Nick were barley able to squeeze this e-sesh with their busy schedules as they live in Virgina and are getting married here this weekend! We photographed them at a private estate and we had the best time! These two have become like old friends! We can't wait for tomorrow! Enjoy!

Jessie + Zack's fabulous wedding took place at the super gorgeous London West Hollywood! The walls are fabric and with a rooftop ceremony this location is hard to beat! Their amazing coordinator Amber from Amber Events did such a beautiful job pulling it all together! And of course we can't forget to thank Jimmy Choo! I know Jessie loves him too! I’m obsessed with Nico Cervantes from Nico Designs SB and Laura Hooper from Laura Hooper Calligraphy. Between these two we were able to make this day look as amazing as it did and THANK YOU to both of you for working with me to make it PERFECT! Both of these extremely talented people continued to take my calls week after week, every time I had a new idea. I love you both so much and I know Jeannie & John are so thrilled with everything you did. THANK YOU again!

Things to know:

Jeannie's wedding ring was once John’s great grandmothers!

The photographs of the dog are Jeannie & John's little love Chauncy! He could not be there when they were married so we did our best to include him in every part of the day possible. He showed up in a large portrait during the ceremony, the signature cocktail was named after his fabulous dog walker affectionately named “ The Bob Orshack”, and he graced us with his presence at the dinner tables acting as our table numbers.

The music during the ceremony while guests were arriving were 1980’s TV show theme songs rearranged by none other than Freddie & Bree from Rockrose. Jeannie was escorted down the aisle by our father to Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You the Lauren Hill version.

The officiate was the amazing Noah Beller who happens to be the brother of my husband and better half of Mi Belle Josh. He picked up a certification from the Universal Life Church and not only did he marry Josh and I, but did the honors at Jeannie & John’s too!

The escort cards!!!!! These were a concept I came up with after my sis said she wanted to do lottery tickets as a favor. I did a mock up for Laura Hopper and poof it magically appeared exactly as I had dreamed. I ordered bright pink and orange gumballs and used boxes to house them, and then I set that as the background for our escort cards. They were little tents with a penny glued inside so guests could scratch away during cocktail hour however, the wind was not going to let that happen, so in the picture below we had to lay them down.

Jessica Lewis: This girl worked so hard! Josh & I were both in the wedding! You would think that we could take a day off from shooting and enjoy the day. Not a chance in hell. Between Josh, Jessica and myself we had a blast shoot these two really good-looking people! (Jessica did most of the work)! But she is my baby sis so I had to get a few shots in!!!! Thanks Jess you are amazing!
