These are our best friends Syd and Noe who were married last weekend! (My excuse for the very very long post. I could not help but share every detail)
I am so thrilled to have been a part of this very special day for them. The amount of love and work that went into this wedding is unbelievable and speaks volumes about the kind of people that Syd & Noe are. Have I mentioned that they are in LOVE? Noe loves to sing mariachi and spent the entire day serenading his bride. It melted most of us as we swooned with excitement for these two lovebirds. The entire wedding was themed around their Latin roots. It had a little Cuban flare with the 1950′s style of Park Ave and the adorable green chairs that set the mood for the whole wedding.
Cigar boxes were used as a background to every aspect of the wedding. Over in the cocktail area a cigar bar was set up complete with different flavors of brandy and small glass shooters for guests to enjoy. Syd & I made the tags for each and every straw, which was set up on swanky 1950′s caddies with personalized coasters, lighters and matches all in the yellow, green and purple. Sydne went beyond DIY and sewed every single felt heart by hand including the table numbers. Each heart was used a place card and were set up perfectly at the front of the site on two identical boards made by our good friend Frank. He even personalized each one with a heart and the S + N. Syd also made the CD’s full of their favorite music for guest to take home. Another dear friend Tish lent us her home and made us breakfast so we could get ready and be comfortable. She also made the LOVE letters that graced the sparkler bench. Our best friends Fred and Bree from Rockrose floral did the amazing florals. They spent countless hours collecting Romeo & Juliette cigar boxes for the centerpieces and drinking a lot of beer out of brown bottles to complete the look! To top it all off they even sang Syd & Noe down the aisle to Journeys “Don’t stop believen”. Fred and Bree went beyond there usual call of duty and put in an amazing amount of love and detail into their craft from the personalized bouquet for Syd to the ribbons in the tree to the perfect star shaped greeting at the ceremony site. I was their pseudo planner who ran my post as maid of honor, photographer and coordinator and thanks to the amazing photographers Dana Dorn and my hubs Josh I was able to shoot only when I wanted and still enjoy the day with Syd. Of course the day would not be complete without the treats from Sweet & Saucy shop. As usual Melody’s work was beyond perfection with treats set inside cigar boxes. Syd and Noe were married by their dear friend and uncle Terri who ran a flawless ceremony. I am sure I am forgetting something or someone but nevertheless it was a perfect day in every way and I am so honored to have been a part of it. We love you two! Happy Life!
